I Arrow
06:21
|
|||
The past is in the rear
The future isn’t clear
All we have is here
Gotta arrow through
making moves up in here
Youngins don’t know if we’ll make it to another year
Let’s see what happens
Watch it unfold like a dinner napkin.
Are you the captain
of your own fate or are you held captive
Playing a role, reenacting
lights, camera, action
Think about the difference between a passion and an occupation
Take a second
Thank about the difference between a dream and a declaration
Take a second
Sleep on it
Regular schools ain’t willing to speak on it
You have to tip the scales
or take everything off it
You’re either ending up broke or in an office
Ain’t no living if you ain’t making a living off of profit
See were on a mission
it’s a mission
that feels like an intermission
cause we’re looking
in our inner minds to vision
Tell me what your hearing
who is steering
and the things that are appearing
when your fears
and inner thoughts ain’t interfering

How to Play the Cello
03:18
|
|||
I can walk down the street and always have a drum with me
I play it at the show and they say it sounds pretty
for some strange reason, not everybody can see it
I play it when I’m singing and I clean it while I’m breathing
Got a sound like (snare) and a sound like (cowbell)
If you put them both together, then it’s (beatbox riff)
It took a lot of practice and it started as a hobby
and now I got twenty different drums in my body
It’s the Beatbox!
The Human-Beatbox!
I can make people groove cause it sound so smooth
with the (beatbox riff)
and then bring it back while I bust a rap
and I can keep it going cause it’s cool like that
the beatbox, it started…
let’s say, in the eighties
people heard the sounds with the mouth and said that’s crazy
and you can make the sounds with the letters in the alphabet
like Ps and Bs and Ts and other things
from clock sounds and doorbell rings
you see, the beatbox it uses all types of things
now, we can make it go fast or make it go slow
it’s so versatile that we can make it do both
It’s the Beatbox!
The Human-Beatbox!
We all have a million drums that’s inside our chest
but be careful when you use them
you can run out of breath
I can easily cough and throw the beatbox off
or mix the beat with the cough and the problem is solved
It’s the Beatbox!
The Human-Beatbox!

Homework at Home
03:04
|
|||
I woke up in the morning
doing what I do
buttoned up my shirt
and tied up my shoes
picked out the afro and put on a hat
fed my goldfish then I fed the cat
kissed my mom on the cheek after I brushed my teeth
took my sister out the house
now I’m starting the week
now I’m up in the school
in the classroom
pledge my allegiance to the flag then I moved
to the music class
with the music staff
with the homework due
from the lesson I had
I looked under the desk and said, Yo! This is really bad
now that I think about it, I left my book bag
Yo! I left my homework at home
now I got a call my mom on the phone
but my mom is already at work
and my music teacher’s going to go berserk!
Ahhhhhh!
